Been reading some old threads at whyweprotest.net. Slowly I'm getting a sense for how the Scientology tech works. Seems like it's a means to gain control over those moral feelings that we find so compelling. This can be a good thing, as when a doctor learns how to do something painful to a child without flinching. But it can also, obviously, be a very bad thing.
Something in the testimony of ex-Scientologists provokes in me a sense of revulsion. What was done to these people or what they learned to do to themselves was wrong.
I don't know how to pack that word "wrong" with what I feel. Bold, larger font, underline --wouldn't be enough.
