Oh I'm glad the gesture wasn't offensive.
ReplyDeleteThe queen has become one of those tiny, fragile old ladies that provoke a protective instinct in many of us. I can easily see myself forgetting the rules and putting my arm around her during a photo-op, just like Michelle Obama.
Berlusconi blotted his copy book way more. She got quite openly grumpy with him.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, for someone known for their emotional control, (especially in diplomatic situations) there appears to have been some sudden outbursts of late.
She also got openly cross when there was a BBC crew in filming distance a little while ago.
Maybe nothing.
